Best Cordless Stick Vacuums

Cordless stick vacuums are your best option when you want to clean your floors quickly, but don’t want to deal with the weight, time, or expense of a regular corded vacuum.

In looking for the best cordless upright vacuum, you’ll want to look for vacuums that are especially portable and agile, and those that have special capabilities such as being able to vacuum a variety of surfaces.

In terms of maneuverability and being able to vacuum a larger space or more locations throughout the house, the Rowenta Delta Force 18V is best.  It has a unique, diamond-shaped head that swivels, with a patented design that includes special canals so that there is maximum suction all the way around the vacuum head.  This makes it the ideal vacuum if you have a lot of furniture to work around, hard to reach corners, or stairs.  Its agility is complemented by a large, 33oz clear dust container and a runtime of up to thirty minutes, which far surpasses most other cordless stick vacuums.  The Delta Force does take a relatively long time to charge its batteries, however, to produce that runtime.

If you’d like to make sure you can use your vacuum on a more consistently quick and easy basis, the Hoover LiNX is a great option.  It also has 18V of power, but with its lithium ion battery and wall charger it is ready to clean in under three hours.  There is also a battery gauge on the vacuum itself, so you won’t be surprised by having your cleaning suddenly interrupted mid-mess.  The LiNX also has the advantage of working better than most uprights on carpet.

For the most versatility of all, though, you’ll want the Dyson DC44 Animal Digital Slim Cordless Vacuum.  It is admittedly much more expensive than the other options we’ve discussed, but with the higher cost comes noticeably more advantages.  Like the LiNX, the DC44 is capable of handling carpet almost as well as a corded vacuum because of a “MAX” feature that trades runtime for added power.  Like the Delta Force, the DC44’s head is also capable of pivoting to reach unusual places, and while it doesn’t have a unique shape to enhance that feature, the DC44 does come with several accessories.  If you want the many features of the DC44 but it is out of your price range, take a look at the Dyson DC35 Digital Slim Multi-floor Cordless Vacuum – it is essentially the same as the DC44 but with a slightly shorter runtime and less accessories.
