Dyson is a British producer of vacuum cleaners started in the 1990’s. Dyson is well-known for its innovative products. You may have heard their tagline – “Never loses suction.” This is in response to a common problem with other vacuum cleaners getting clogged with debris and becoming less powerful over time. Dyson vacuums have always been designed to eliminate the need for a bag which needs to be replaced.
You’ve also, no doubt, noticed that Dyson vacuums are some of the most pricey out there. Are they worth the extra money? That’s all a matter of choice, but if you’re looking for the most features and best-thought out design, I think they’re the top choice.
First, all Dyson vacuums have HEPA filters, which is great for those with allergies. You’ll never need to replace bags or filters – Dyson’s are bagless and have washable filters. They’re also the most powerful of any cordless vacuums. The included tools allow you to use them with any surface. Whether all of that is worth the premium price is up to you. Personally, I went through a number of cheaper vacuums before spending the money on a Dyson, and feel it was well worth the extra cost.
Dyson offers one model of handheld vac and two cordless stick vacuums which can be easily converted to handhelds by removing the wand. Like the corded line of vacuums, an “Animal” model is available which includes a motorized tool to help clean up pet hair.
